Our Jacksonville Ship Repair Division is seeking to hire Craft Supervisors for their Pipefitter and Pipe Welding Shops.The selected candidate will be providing technical assistance and oversee the workforce assigned to them. He or She will ensure that appropriate actions are taken to support the timely and cost effective completion of assigned tasks. Ensure the Pipe Shop employees assigned to them are in compliance/enforcement of company policies, procedures and translates customer's requirements into a working product.Duties an Responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for ensuring that company goals for Safety, Quality and Productivity are aggressively pursued
  • Oversee and monitor schedule performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigate late activities, and assist project supervision in development of practical solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate project budget performance including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, develop productivity enhancements and investigate over-budget items.
  • Over sees and plans material requirements needed for worked projects and that it is received on time to meet the production requirements.
  • Allocate personnel and resources to efficiently support all contracts (including shift work)
  • Have knowledge and understanding of all ship board piping systems
  • Review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
  • Ensure that Company policies are adhered to and the policies are clearly understood by subordinates (ISO, Environmental and Safety). Train and motivate employees in the areas of technical knowledge, safety, environmental and communication.
  • Ensure that inter-departmental relations are maintained.
  • Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned
  • Capable to use and navigate Microsoft Office/Excel effectively.
  • Capable to communicate with the workforce, project team and customers.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of going onboard ships, vessels, barges and transit ladder ways.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the trade of Pipefitting and or Pipe Welding in a Moderate or Heavy Industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification System "DBIDS" Access card.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills High School/GEDApprentice Graduate preferredKnowledge of effective supervisory methods and techniques. Ability to plan, layout schedules, and supervise the work in an effective and cost efficient manner. Considerable knowledge of the policies and procedures that is relevant to the Pipe Shop.Previous supervisory experience in the Pipe shop desiredPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $69500 - $118200Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
