St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School Coral Gables, FL United States The Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) plays a crucial role within the senior administrative team at St. Thomas Episcopal Parish Church and School, leading the development and execution of all fundraising initiatives. In collaboration with the Head of School, Rector, Board of Trustees, and Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees, the CAO crafts and implements vital fundraising strategies. This role is pivotal in fostering collaborative relationships with a broad network of volunteers and donors, to enhance our community's philanthropic engagement.The CAO is charged with overseeing a comprehensive suite of fundraising efforts, encompassing Capital Campaigns, Annual Giving, a major gift program, alumni engagement, and various fundraising events that benefit both the School and the Church. Beyond these endeavors, the CAO will spearhead special projects aimed at bolstering the Endowment Fund, facilitating the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of relationships with both existing donors and prospects.Serving on the Advancement team that includes a Director of Admission, Director of Parent and Community Relations, a Director of Information Systems and Records Management, a Director of Communications, and an Assistant to the Chief Advancement Officer, the CAO ensures that our philanthropic missions are achieved through strategic planning, execution, and team collaboration.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as a member of the administrative leadership team and participate in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and activities for both campaigns and annual giving
- Serve as a member of the Advancement Team which includes the Director of Admission, the Director of Communication, and the Director of Parent and Community Relations
- Oversee the Director of Parent and Community Relations, the Director of Information Systems and Records Management, and the Assistant to the CAO
- Identify prospective donors and funding sources, in conjunction with School and Church leadership and volunteers, and develop cultivation and solicitation plans, as appropriate
- Ensure regular communications and stewardship with donors, including re-solicitations, proper acknowledgement of gifts and pledge payments, reporting, visiting, and providing regular information on the progress of campaigns, events, and other projects
- Prepare and maintain a master plan of funding priorities, in conjunction with the leadership
- Determine fundable projects and package them appropriately for consideration by donors
- Work with the Head of School, Rector, and Chief Financial Officer to develop appropriate fundraising budgets and revenue projections for annual and campaign giving. Develop and implement an annual work plan with measurable objectives and courses of action for all relevant activities during the years
- Make appropriate recommendations to administration concerning their roles and involvement in the identification, cultivation, or solicitation of donor prospects. Facilitate face-to-face interactions with appropriate donors and prospects
- Document all contacts, communications, visits, and proposals in Raiser's Edge and other appropriate donor files
- Work with Capital Campaign Consultants in developing and implementing the strategic plan for the campaign, goals, budget, timetables, volunteer organization, communications, and staffingQUALIFICATIONS:
