* Support program bid and proposal activitiesEnsure that requirements of the request for proposal are met in the preparation and documentation of bids and proposals
* Actively seek new business and growth opportunities in coordination with business development
* Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontractsAllocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, and purchased servicesReport program status to senior management monthly--- Development and maintenance of the program integrated master schedule to include the internal and external milestones and phases as established by the respective program teams--- Establish and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules, identify program problems, obtain solutions, direct allocation of resources
* Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedule are evidentSeek senior management assistance in resolving schedule and budget problems as they arise
* Formally identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the program life cycleObtain management approval prior to making decisions that will cause deterioration of established program, cost, and schedule objectives
* Maintain program financial forecasts, report progress to financial objectives
* Serve as primary the primary interface with the customer on all matters involving contract executionCoordinate with other departments on resolution of contractual problems with customerCoordinate with contracts manager on issues pertaining to contract requirements, changes, and interpretations--- Ability to clearly communicate program status, issues, risks, opportunities and plans to internal senior management--- Ensure coordination across multiple programs and/or projects and with other product line leads Qualifications and Education Requirements--- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering or similar field with a minimum of 3 years project management experience
* Successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor to a domestic or foreign military organization within the defense aerospace capacity
* Must be a dynamic and energetic leader that involves other team members in the decision making and change process--- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis
* The position requires coordinating and working with cross-functional teams--- Strong communication skills to advise team members and senior management on status and/or actions--- Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint
* High-energy and self-driven individual that can "make things happen" without a large support organization to depend on daily and knows how to manage his/her time wisely
* A personality style that is team oriented and has the success of the customer, program, organization, and business as his/her main objective PREFERRED SKILLS--- Active Secret security clearance preferred, Secret clearance issuance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment is required - DoD.
* Minimum 5 years of defense aviation or simulation experience preferred
* Minimum 5 years program management related experience preferred SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and proceduresPersonally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any formShall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-knowShall not divulge information outside company without management approvalAll government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resourcesIncumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security ClearanceWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS--- This job operates in a professional office environmentThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
* Ability to travel, nationally or internationally, possibly for extended periods of time.
* Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.
* Ability to work effectively from home and locations remote to CAE USA Headquarters for extended periods.
* Ability to work autonomously.
