Florida Health Care Plans, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to Float to our Volusia County facilities. Summary This position is 40 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling based on need. Either 5-8-hour days or 4-10-hour days, or 3-12 hour days and 1-4 hour day. Both family practice & urgent care experience. Qualifications Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination. Education, skills, and experience We are looking for a balance of family practice and urgent care Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.) Foreign body removal Laceration repair, Suturing skills Abscess I & D Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures DOT Certification required within 30 days Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physicals, etc.) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills) Worker's Comp experience preferred Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their primary care physicians Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Bonus/Commission: No More...
