- Ensure compliance with federal rules, regulations, and policies related to HR transactions
- Collaborate with various departments to initiate and approve necessary HR transactions
- Generate employee ID cards and provide timely access to network and systems
- Assist with benefits enrollment and verification of employment requests

- Associate's degree in Human Resources or related discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum two years of HR experience, preferably in a higher education setting
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Apply now to join the Indian River State College HR team and help us shape the future of education!JOB SUMMARY:Under minimal supervision, this position provides support for the Human Resources (HR) function as assigned. Duties include: assisting employees and managers with procedures and transactions related to the assigned area; managing and maintaining assigned/related active and inactive personnel files, ensuring that the information is accurate and protected; and serving as a liaison for the assigned area to other areas of the College.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages employee records and related databases relevant to assigned areas and ensures accurate and up-to-date documentation in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Completes assigned procedures for new full-time and part-time employees to ensure all necessary HR data and appropriate documentation is submitted; verifies that employees have provided appropriate documentation such as proof of licenses, certifications, etc.; and tracks requests for follow-up information/renewals.
- Processes data related to new hires, additional jobs, job changes, compensation changes, and terminations in HRIS as required.
- Reviews, validates, and updates employee demographic data in the HRIS as necessary.
- Analyzes, maintains, reconciles data; and prepares reports.
- Assists with maintaining federal rules, regulations, and policies with regards to HR transactions.
- Completes verification of employment requests.
- Contacts the appropriate administrator to request necessary transactions are initiated and/or approved in the HRIS.
- Generates Employee ID Cards and ensures employee data is input accurately and timely to access to the network and associated systems needed to function in their assigned positions.
- Helps with on-boarding including enrollments for benefits (as assigned) and off-boarding of employees.
- Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources or another related discipline; Bachelor's degree is preferred;
