Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and detail-oriented Lead Legal Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a strong background in Medical Malpractice and possesses a strong personality. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and able to support 4-5 legal assistants while also managing their own case load. The position offers the flexibility of working remotely once a week.

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Legal Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Providing comprehensive support to 4-5 legal assistants, including training, guidance, and assistance with complex cases.
2. Managing your own case load in the area of Medical Malpractice, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
3. Coordinating and communicating with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals to ensure smooth case progression.
4. Conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and maintaining case files.
5. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
6. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of strategies and best practices.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Lead Legal Assistant role, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a focus on Medical Malpractice.
2. Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor, with strong ability to manage, guide, and support a team of legal assistants.
3. Strong personality with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to work independently, manage a large case load, and meet tight deadlines.
5. Proficient in legal research and documentation, with strong attention to detail.
6. Comfortable with technology and able to work remotely at least one day per week.
7. Bachelor's degree in Law or related field is preferred.
