Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Under supervision, works closely with the campus personnel to support student services. Responds to inquiries regarding Adult Education ESOL/GED class schedules and fees and meets with students to help ensure the effective operation of the Adult Education program.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and assists the public via telephone and face-to-face in a friendly professional manner; (20%)
• Schedules clients for the CASAS/TABE Assessment and facilitation appointments. (20%)
• Registers students in class. (15%)
• Provides support to adjunct instructors with electronic attendance tracking. (10%)
• Contacts students with excessive absences; (10%)
• Assists in maintaining department files and records following confidential information policies. (5%)
• Answers telephone, takes and relays messages to appropriate staff. (5%)
• Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (5%)QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent from a regionally accredited institution; or Associate's degree;
  • Minimum one (1) year customer service experience preferred.
  • Computer Literate- computer keyboardingskills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
