GridIron IT is seeking an Java/API Developer local to Washington, DCActive TS (SCI Eligible) Clearance Required!! Description:
We are looking for an API Developer with Cloud Expertise to support our Agile Data Architecture & Engineering Team that falls within our support of the Chief Data Officer at DHS' Office of Intelligence and AnalysisThis individual will help the team with designing and implementing new user and application programming interfaces (APIs) and work with users to maximize the usability of each capability Duties:
Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects
Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
Displays leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
Participate in the development of new and maintenance of customer's custom applications
Provide top-level technical services to include, but are not limited to, agile development, system engineering, and software development
Actively contribute to mission capabilities development and deployment to address emerging requirements
Perform in all three areas of development, integration and production deployment
Conduct technical research on software development tasks including automation prototyping and tool development
Skills:
Java
JavaScript/TypeScript
React (or similar UI framework)
Jira and Confluence (Atlassian Suite)
Git (we're using GitLab)
JSON and XML
Nice to have Skills:
AWS (in particular, GovCloud and C2S/C2E)
Python
ORMs like Hibernate, Sequelize or SQLAlchemy
Experience with "dev-low, deploy-high" pattern or high-side development
Experience with the U.SIntelligence Community (IC)
Experience with integration
Experience with public keys and digital certificates
Experience with automated testing patterns and tools, such as, Mocha/Chai, JUnit, NUnit, TestNG
