Position: L1 Enterprise Operations Engineer
Location: Washington, DC or Beltsville, MD
Education: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance (Active clearance preferred)
The L1 Enterprise Operations Engineer is a vital member of the Enterprise Operations team responsible for monitoring and maintaining the server environment for a Federal Government agency. This role involves real-time server monitoring, stakeholder communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Systems Administrators to ensure the continuous operation of critical systems. The L1 Enterprise Operations Engineer also plays a crucial role in responding to outages and facilitating the resolution of server-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1-3 years of experience with IT or computer information systems.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, data centers, or similar help desk experience.
- Experience with the use of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools or ticketing systems, including ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel.
- Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional interaction with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Effective teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues on all assignments.
- Ability to work independently while recognizing the importance of communication and coordination with other employees and organizations.
- Strong willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and a constantly changing environment.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere is a plus.
