YOUR ROLE - This position develops, implements, and manages safety assessment practices for Henkel's consumer brands in North America. The individual assuming this role will execute a toxicology program to meet or exceed the industry standards and consumer expectations for product safety in North America and select global geographies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct toxicological evaluations and commission necessary testing, and document product safety evaluations for new product development projects.
- Utilize industry standard approaches and leverage currently available science to conduct toxicological human health risk assessments for raw materials, formulas, product formats, and contaminants.
- Provide scientific leadership and transparency of internal safety assurance practices to stakeholders (both internal and external) to support consumer confidence in Henkel's products.
- Partner with Corporate Product Safety, Regulatory, Formulations, Marketing, Consumer Insights and Legal to provide product safety guidance throughout the product development process.
- Review and provide subject matter expertise related to consumer exposure complaints.
- Corroborate with management in interfacing with regulatory authorities and customers regarding product safety questions or issues.
YOUR SKILLS - PhD in toxicology or closely related field.
- Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) or ambition to pursue certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience, preferably in consumer product goods. Critical Skills and Competencies:
