Job Summary: The Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) provides high quality nursing care to patients across all imaging modalities within the Radiology Department. - The Registered Nurse (RN) applies all phases of care for invasive radiology procedures; pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure. The IR RN demonstrates competency in advanced patient assessment skills of all body systems (neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, GI, GU, skin and musculoskeletal). Functions as clinically competent in procedural sedation, administering conscious sedation and understanding the sedation recovery phase, reversal agents and airway recovery skills. - Delegates and supervises work of PAA and PCA. - Reports to Unit Manager.Qualifications |
