The Registered Nurse Transition Coach (RN-TC) is an experienced registered nurse who will perform as a clinical expert and resource to support the growth and development of newly hired RNs and LPNs. The RN-TC will support staff to establish, maintain and improve nursing practice by fostering and elevating the new RNs and LPNs after their preceptor-led period. The primary duties involve developing critical thinking, providing consultations for clinical practice issues, promoting inter-professional communication and being a safety net by identifying and resolving high-risk patient issues.

EDUCATION: Registered Nurse (unencumbered license); Current BLS (AHA)

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Experienced preceptor of at least 2 years and has demonstrated the ability to be a resource and teach others. Role models Griffin Health's Policies and Procedures, our Planetree Philosophy and follows professional standards of behavior with peers, the team and patients/families. Is an effective communicator with interpersonal skills, strong listening skills and can give actionable feedback. Has demonstrated the ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities, address and resolve conflict, utilize resources and remain calm in emergent situations.
