  • Teaches task orientated therapeutic activities per the plan of care
  • Work as part of a home health team which may include an RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT, OT and SLP, focused on the patient's plan of care and personal goals -
  • Participate in assessments for the patient, observe deficits, and work with the OT to establish therapy goals and document progress
  • Assist patient with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
  • Educate patient and family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-careA few must-haves for Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant:
    • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of Colorado.
    • A graduate of an occupational therapy education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American -Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), or its successor organizations of ACOTE and is eligible to take, or has successfully -completed the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapy assistant developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
    • In the last five (5) years, two (2) years of experience as an Occupational Therapy assistant that is relevant to the patient population assigned. -
    • Health care CPR Certified. -(demonstration course required)
    • Pass a background check and drug test (we are required to test for THC)
