Our mission is to create lasting opportunities and partnerships with our customers, employees, and community.The mechanic will oversee day-to-day and preventive maintenance of all company fleet including heavy trucks, heavy equipment, light trucks, and more. The mechanic will work closely with teammates to repair equipment on a timely basis to ensure our operations can continue running.* Responsibilities** Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems* Inspections and diagnoses of fleet* Properly fix and maintain vehicles and equipment* Run diagnostic tests* Oil changes and brake checks* Maintain records and inventory of all parts* Physically capable to do the job.* Maintain the shop to a clean and safe standard* Any other duties that may be required or assigned*Qualifications** Have a minimum of 1 year of experience servicing and maintaining equipment daily.* Experience must include at least 2 of the following: Heavy truck, heavy equipment, diesel, light truck, and automotive and gen set.* Maintenance must be timely and accurate.* Dependable, reliable, and self-starter* Excellent communication skills*Company Requirements** Legally authorized to work in the United States* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.* CDL is a plus but not a requirement* Salary range: $20-$30 an hour, depending on experience and/or certifications.*Physical requirements** More than 75% of the time will be spent kneeling, bending, squatting, walking, and carrying up to 50 LBS.* Less than 25% of the time will be spent sitting, driving, and doing desk work.*Benefits*1888 offers a competitive benefits package including but not limited to 5 different health plans, 2 dental plans, 2 vision plans, weekly accrued PTO, paid holidays, company-paid short-term disability, and $25,000 life insurance and AD&D, voluntary life insurance employee, spouse, and children, long term disability, and 401k, with company match._1888 Industrial Services provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, age, or any other status protected under federal, state, and/or local law._Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hourby Jobble More...
