To learn more about working at NCOE, please visit: https://napacoe.org/careers/ Job Summary GENERAL INFORMATION: Under the supervision of the Director of Early Childhood Services, provides health, nursing and related services to B-5 year students in accordance with state laws, regulations and guidelines and NCOE policies and procedures, including CSPP and Special Education classes. Serves as a resource person to program staff and parents and provides liaison activities with other community agencies as assigned. Requirements / Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: --- Valid School Nurse Services Credential or the ability to apply for credential at time of hire --- This position requires knowledge of the California State Preschool Programs, Public Education, Special Education and Community Health Systems. --- Requires knowledge of Applicable Federal, State and Local Health and Safety Laws, Regulations and Guidelines. --- Requires oral and written communication skills and the ability to operate computer systems. --- Requires the ability to plan, organize and schedule duties effectively. Work independently with little direction. --- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports. --- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. --- Be an advocate for the overall health and well-being of the "whole child" in the Early Childhood community. --- Requires ambulatory ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. --- Requires the hand-eye coordination and manipulative skills to perform precise examinations, tests, and treatments to student patients. --- Requires the ability to perform infrequent lifting and moving of light to moderately heavy (less than 40 pounds) objects. --- Requires the visual acuity to read and observe symptoms.
