In this role, you will not only lead the development of our Ruby on Rails and Elixir systems but also shape our e-commerce strategies, particularly in pricing and online retail. Your leadership will guide a team of engineers toward implementing innovative solutions that enhance our customer experience and operational efficiency. This position is well-suited for individuals with a strong background in e-commerce, distributed systems and an understanding of the complexities of pricing in the online retail space. - Lead the engineering efforts in our e-commerce platform, focusing on scalability, user experience, and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, ML team, and marketing, to develop and implement effective online pricing models.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of our core systems built on Ruby on Rails and Elixir, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and practices.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to align engineering activities with broader company objectives. What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails or Elixir development and architecture.
- Experience in developing and managing online pricing services and systems.
- Proven track record in managing and scaling distributed, public cloud-native systems and services.
- Hands-on experience in collaborating with machine learning teams.
- Strong understanding of relational database systems (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of engineers.
