Team Description Our organization is at the center of bringing our vision for AI at Capital One to life. The work of the AI Training Team touches every aspect of the machine learning life cycle, from working with data, building and benchmarking models, to deploying and maintaining production applications. We work with product, technology, and business leaders to apply the state of the art in AI to our business. Role DescriptionIn this role, you will: - Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products customers love
- Leverage a broad stack of technologies - Python, PyTorch, AWS, Hugging Face, LangChain, GitHub, and more - to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
- Lead as an individual contributor and build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals The Ideal Candidate is:
- Innovative. You continually research and evaluate emerging technologies. You stay current on published state-of-the-art methods, technologies, and applications and seek out opportunities to apply them.
- Technical. You're comfortable with open-source languages and are passionate about developing further. You have experience building large deep learning models - whether on language, images, events, or graphs.
- Statistically-minded. You've built models, benchmarked them, and deployed them. You know how to think probabilistically, design experiments, and to interpret automated metrics like Rouge or Bleu.
- A data guru. "Big data" doesn't faze you and you love data-centric methods. You have the skills to retrieve, combine, clean, filter, annotate, and analyze data from a variety of sources and structures. You know understanding the data is often the key to great data science. Basic Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining PhD plus 2 years of experience in data analytics, with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
- At least 3 years' experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
- At least 3 years' experience with machine learning
- At least 3 years' experience with relational databases Preferred Qualifications:
