DIRECT HIRE: Amazing direct hire opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer in the Santa Clarita, CA. area.PAY: $100K - $140K (depending on experience)Base hours: 8am - 5pm (Office-based role)RESPONSIBILITIES:Project ManagementProficiency in Project Management is requiredPrepare proposals, scope of work and budgets for new projectsManage phases of the geotechnical investigations for major development/construction projectsManage deadlinesQuality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)Supervise StaffSupervise and mentor staff engineers and techniciansSupervise engineering analysis by staffTrain staff in basic engineering procedures and techniquesSupervision of the laboratory testingCoordinate InvestigationsPrepare a subsurface investigation based on the requirements of the projectReview the subsurface data and assign appropriate laboratory testingInterpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analysesEngineering AnalysisBased on review of information from field logs and laboratory date perform slope stability analysis; landslide stability evaluation; liquefaction hazard assessment; settlement analysis; debris flow analysis; foundation design parameters for shallow foundation, retaining walls and piles/piers; lateral earth pressure; pavement design; soil and rock mechanics; and groundwater evaluation and controlPrepare and/or Review Technical ReportsReview, studies and analyzes information from field logs and laboratory data to make recommend type of foundations for structures and/or earthwork recommendationsReview Grading and Foundation Plans for Conformance with RecommendationsPosition RequirementsBachelors of Science in Civil Engineering required5+ years of experience in managing commercial, residential land development and construction projectsCalifornia Professional Engineer registration (PE) is requiredStrong organization, written and oral communication skillsINDHGTZlCA05hFby Jobble More...
