AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE:The Sr. Manager, Product Marketing will be responsible for all product marketing activities related to AMD/Xilinx's flagship FPGA design software and the associated IP cores. This includes driving strategic direction of the tools and IP with the Planning team, outbound marketing strategy, sales and customer marketing collateral development and leading all product launches.THE PERSON:The ideal person will be a senior level technical marketing person with deep understanding of FPGA products and software. This position requires interacting with engineering managers, product planning and other marketing people within the company and influencing the strategic direction of the FPGA tools and IP portfolio. There will be significant level of customer meetings - primarily with the engineering and design heads of various customer teams. The person will have to understand the customer needs and care-abouts and translate the same into product requirements as well as in crafting effective marketing messages.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsibilities include managing all aspects of new product introduction both internally with all factory stakeholders and externally by interfacing directly with customers and sales teams worldwide.
- Develop a strategic vision for the FPGA tools and IP product direction - and drive the same with internal stakeholders.
- It is also critically important that the candidate can connect with the customers at a technical level - to both understand and champion the user experience and to bring back the user care abouts back in terms of a future product roadmap.
- The candidate must have the ability to understand complex EDA tool flows, new software and IP capabilities and drive that messaging to both sales and customers. Prior experience with FPGA product marketing, EDA marketing and with organizing effective outbound marketing campaigns world-wide is very important.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- FPGA design flow understanding
- Prior experience with planning and/or marketing FPGA tools and IP
- Understanding of high-level EDA tool flows
- Prior experience within the FPGA industry
- Excellent customer management and engagement skills
- Experience with cross functional teams
