An international food company is expanding into the US Market and PageGroup has partnered with them to identify a Head of Human Resources & Administration to join the business! Client Details Our client is revolutionizing the way professionals eat at work. They are a strong team of over 100+ members internationally. This HR Head would be one of the first hires in the US as they look to grow out this market. Description - Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with US labor laws.
- Oversee talent acquisition lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Implement performance management and employee development programs to retain talent.
- Manage employee relations, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing any grievances or conflicts.
- Create competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
- Promote a feedback-driven culture for continuous improvement in HR practices.
- Continuously improve HR policies and promote a culture of feedback and development.
- Oversee and manage accounting/finance operations for the US organization, collaborating with and leveraging support from the finance team in Japan as necessary. This may include supervising part-time accounting personnel or handling accounts payable/receivable, expense processing, and other financial tasks.
- Support general administrative and operational functions as required, including but not limited to office management, facilities coordination, vendor management, and process improvements.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and projects outside of core HR duties as the business needs evolve in our startup environment. Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of HR experience; or 3+ years of HR experience combined with substantial leadership experience in other professional roles
- Knowledge of HR information systems and databases
- Comprehensive knowledge of US employment laws, regulations, and best practices; or a strong willingness to master them
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
- Passion for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and thriving in ambiguity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive process improvements
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and integrity
