(N) in good standing, BLS Healthcare Provider, CRT- CA License, Must be a Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear MedicineSpecial Requirements:-Experience* Must have previous experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital environment.Principal Accountabilities* Implements radiation protection and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients.* Maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.* Maintains mandated continuing education requirements.* May be required to train / precept students and new techs.* Operates a variety of complex stationary diagnostic equipment.* Orders, prepares, administers, and disposes radiopharmaceuticals and/or agents according to established protocols.* Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.-Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.* Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.-Access to Protected Health Information (PHI)/ Physical Requirements/ Special Working Conditions* Access to PHI: The protected health information this position can access is all medical record information.
