Coverage Needed - July 15 - August 11, 2024 Schedule
- M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call
- 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun
- Will consider 2 weeks coverage, but prefer full 4 weeks Clinical Details
- Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center
- Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider
- No hospital consults required with low volume remote call
- MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions
- Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies
- Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider
- Average daily census: 10 patients per day with 1-2 being new patients
- Mon-Thurs shared between the MD and NP with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule
- 7 Infusion chairs
- Outpatient clinic Requirements
- Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology - Preferred
- Will consider Board Eligible
- Can accept providers boarded in Oncology OR Hematology
- Active CA License
- Medical Oncology Fellowship
- CA DEA, BLS, ACLS
- Clean Malpractice/background - Preferred Call
- Provider is not called back in, Remotely called
- Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day Support Staff
- 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs
- No NP on site EMR
