Our growing and busy Property Management Company is looking for an energetic and experienced Accountant with excellent attention to detail who can focus on the bottom line to keep our company profitable. We require an accounting expert who can manage all aspects of Real Estate Trust Accounting. You'll be in charge of reconciling monthly trust accounts, processing accounts payable, and production of monthly financial statements and distributions to our clients/property owners. Our ideal candidate will have 7 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry, as well as a finance or accounting degree. We are looking for a career minded individual that can grow with us.



This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities:

--- Verify general ledger accounts, investigate and correct account discrepancies, and review daily revenue activity list to ensure accountability
--- Produce monthly financial statements for all properties within the property management portfolio
--- Reconcile multiple Trust Accounts on a monthly basis
--- Handle all Accounts Payable
--- Manage and input all monthly Rental Receipts. Administer late fees and NSF fees as needed
--- Ensure all inputs and setups within AppFolio property management software are correct
--- Monthly reporting to Company Owners

Qualifications:

--- Must be well-versed in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
--- Superior customer service skills, math skills, relationship skills, and communication skills are preferred
--- Strong Computer skills including Excel and experience with Real Estate Property Management & Accounting Software, such as AppFolio
--- Prefer a degree in Accounting or Finance or a similar related field
--- Minimum 7 Years prior full cycle accounting experience, preferably in the Real Estate Industry
--- Must reside in the local San Diego area
