For over 100 years, MPTF has been dedicated to supporting these individuals through our many services, including supportive services, long-term care, behavioral health, and residential living.We are currently seeking a full-time *Social Worker, Psychiatric (LCSW). *This position provides social work services to psychiatric patients in the Geropsychiatric Unit, and works with patients and their families, providing orientation, guidance, and therapeutic services to assist patients and families in coping with psychiatric hospitalization. Additionally, this position performs psychosocial assessments, care planning and implementation, resource development, supportive counseling, and referral to other service providers and serves as primary therapist in group treatment of patients.*Requirements:** Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of Social Work* Possession of a professional license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (LCSW)* Minimum five years of experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker, preferably working with geriatric patients in a psychiatric institution.* Must be able to work on site in the Behavioral Health Unit on the MPTF Wasserman campus.MPTF offers competitive compensation and perks for full-time and part-time (24 hours per week) employees.
