Sr Field Service Engineer - San Diego California

Job Description The selected candidate will provide a high level of coordination for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) System Operability Verification Test (SOVT) on-time completion for Pacific Fleet ships.

  • Conduct C4I ship checks prior to, during and post ship modernization availabilities
  • Track all C4I modernizations and upgrades for each ship
  • Track all required SOVT's status
  • Track all legacy systems required to support scheduled SOVT's
  • Coordinate with ship's force and NIWC Test directors and develop plan to bring legacy systems out of lay-up to support SOVT testing
  • Coordinate with ship's force, NIWC, Local RMC to conduct appropriate Pre-Installation Check-out (PICO) prior to availability.
  • Schedule Pre-SOT team prior to and during SOVT testing to ensure legacy systems are available to support.
  • Attend required meetings
  • Submit required reports
  • Other duties as requiredThis position is located in San Diego, CA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
