Your work will be instrumental in positioning the company as a leader in its field, ready to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business landscape.The Business Excellence Specialist for the Head of Innovation plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the innovation capabilities within our organization. This dynamic position combines strategic insight, operational efficiency, and analytical prowess to ensure the successful execution of innovation initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)Business Strategy and Planning (30%): Conduct comprehensive market, competitor, and trend analyses to inform strategic planning. The Business Excellence Specialist develops actionable insights and recommendations to guide the innovation strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall goals.Project Management (30%): Ensures the seamless execution of innovation projects from start to finish. This role encompasses meticulous planning, effective scheduling, strategic resource allocation, and continuous progress monitoring. It also involves actively facilitating project work to guarantee that projects not only meet deadlines but also achieve their intended objectives, ensuring optimal outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.Data Analytics and Reporting (15%): Utilizes advanced data analytics techniques to set up systems to keep an eye on key business metrics and make sure our strategic goals are on track to be met.Operational and Administrative Support (15%): Streamlines operational processes to enhance the efficiency of the innovation team. Manages administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, coordinating with other departments, and handling documentation.Communication (10%): Work directly with our top leaders to craft and share important business updates and messages, ensuring our strategy is clear and followed through. Your role is crucial in organizing and following up on strategic plans, making sure our communication is clear and actions are effective.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: - A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, engineering, or a related field required
- MBA preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- 5 years project management experience on large enterprise level initiative
- Ability to ask clarifying questions to prompt more detailed information
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for senior executives
- Ability to analyze and collect data from multiple areas of the business
