As a family-owned small business, we are committed to creating a rewarding work environment for all employees as we continue to grow.We are looking for a full-time (hourly) Assistant Branch Manager to join our corporate offices in Fullerton, CA.The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operations of their assigned store. Their duties include ensuring customers receive excellent services while ensuring they can easily find the products and materials they need. The ideal candidate will be proficient in computer and point of sales systems as well as inventory management.Essential Job Functions:Assist Branch Manager with oversight of daily operations of the retail counter and yard personnelResponsible for all Branch Manager duties in their absenceMaintain store and yard appearance as well as product presentationMeet and greet customers; troubleshoot all customer issues and concernsWhen directed to, open and close assigned store while closely following SWBs opening and closing proceduresReview and reconcile daily close-out. Report any issues to the Branch Manager immediatelyManage petty cash, submitting receipts for all purchasesReview equipment checklist, schedule equipment maintenance and report equipment failures to the Branch ManagerInputting of all numbers into P&L daily. Provide daily recap to Branch ManagerAssist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Request orders for yard inventory as needMust be product expert on all linesProcess incoming shipments following SWBs receiving proceduresAssist Branch manager with bi-monthly safety meetings and daily/weekly sales meetingsIdentify potential safety issues and recommend corrective actionsEnsure safety records are maintained which includes equipment certification for all employeesEnforce all safety related policy and procedures including discipline decisions for infractionsWork with Purchasing department to conduct daily/weekly inventory controlTrain new-hires as well as progressive training on all current and new product linesAssist Branch Manager with establishing annual retail sales goalsAssist Branch Manager with annual performance evaluationsConduct daily briefing meeting with staff with the days sales plan and expectationsWeekly/Daily quote follow upTrack employee attendance, productivity, behavior and safety. Report any infractions and recommend disciplinary actions to Branch ManagerSupervise and manage all direct reports.
