TIAG is now hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) PacificThis position requires a Secret clearance to be processed, so only US or Naturalized citizens can be consideredThis is a remote work opportunity, but the proximity to San Diego, CA will be preferredSome travel may be required for this work, but limited in nature The Engineer will work with our team supporting NIWC PAC in the areas of systems engineering, systems testing, systems integration, systems engineering, data modeling and integration, as well as the requisite information assurance support required to secure the aforementioned capabilities for NIWC supported applicationsResponsibilities will include:--- Participation in all aspects of developing software applications--- Communicating effectively with technical team members, content subject matter experts, and customers--- Supporting assigned projects ensuring quality delivery, identifying risks, and escalating issues--- Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements--- Conducting software demonstrations and troubleshooting with customers of various technical expertise--- Participating in Scrum/Agile team and software development and delivery Required Experience:--- Secret Clearance--- BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, or Computer Science--- 5+ years of experience with 2-3 years of progressively more complex experience developing software applications using Red Hat OpenShift, Linux, SSO and Ansible--- Excellent team collaboration skills and ability to tailor communication style to support audience engagement and understanding--- Demonstrated experience building and managing DevSecOps Pipeline/CICD--- Experience with automating application fielding--- Some experience developing/testing applications using Agile Core Services (ACS), Artifactory, CheckMarx, Jenkins, Docker and Docker Compose, NRDE Cloud, Python and Forgerock--- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.--- Understanding of databases, SQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.--- Experience directly developing with the Matrix open protocol for de-centralized, secure communications is highly desirable--- Experience with Cyber Security practices and STIGs.--- Linux and Security + certifications are highly desirableIn California, the standard pay range for this role is 90,000-110,000 annuallyThis range is specific to California and may not be applicable in other locationsTIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulationsTIAG's policy applies to all terms and conditions of employmentTo achieve our goal of equal opportunity, TIAG maintains an affirmative action plan through which it makes good faith efforts to recruit, hire, and advance in employment qualified minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans.
