Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!Lunar Permanence: This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building a sustainable infrastructure to transport crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As a System Engineer on the Lunar Permanence Program Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Requirements, Verification, and Certification (RVC) team you will be responsible for authoring, delivering, reviewing, and managing verification products to enable the development of the Human Landing System (HLS) and Human-class Delivery Lander (HDL). You will work directly with Blue Origin LP elements, our National Team Partners, and NASA. You will play a key role in developing the lunar transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Develop detailed Program-level verification plans for elements and element-to-element events.
- Develop verification closure products including preparation of Detailed Verification Objectives and Verification Closure Notices.
- Perform technical work and provide technical leadership of the highest caliber.
- Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
- Work independently towardlong-range objectives without appreciable direction and determine the technical objectives of assignments to develop approaches to solutions.
- Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the element teams.Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in the use of requirements and functional analysis to specify and verify complex systems.
- Experience in the verification planning and closeout of requirements, including customer approval.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications
