Roles & Responsibilities Splunk Cloud Administrator Client is seeking a qualified associate to assist in managing an advanced corporate data analytics platform. The selected candidate will join a dedicated team responsible for designing and administering Splunk across a global enterprise In this role, you assist the team in developing strategy, crafting architecture for an enterprise / Cloud Splunk installation, advancing Splunk's footprint across enterprise, and cross-collaboration with an IT Security team. --- Experience in design, implementation, and support of Splunk (Indexers, Forwarders, and Search-Heads Setup etc.) --- Enablement of log / metric flow to Splunk from source systems / locations --- Data parsing, enrichment, filtering through props & transforms --- Working to ensure availability of data sources with UFs, Heavy Forwarders and movement of data into Splunk Cloud --- Deployment of changes to all Splunk components --- Performing required source tool integrations supported by Splunk --- Enabling Role based access for appropriate stake holders --- Creating and distributing Alerts to appropriate Event Management ecosystems --- Integrating Ticketing workflows to ServiceNow from Splunk --- Experience with implementing and administering Splunk --- Good understanding with virtualization technologies (Hypervisor, VMware, etc.) --- Experience with Linux and Windows agents for Splunk administration with a solid understanding of the Splunk system --- Ability to create operations documentation for maintaining the Splunk infrastructure --- Setting up Splunk Forwarding for new application tiers introduced into the environment --- Troubleshooting Splunk performance issues / Opening support cases with Splunk --- Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization --- Troubleshoot log feeds, field extractions, search time, etc. --- Provide Granular, Role-based Security --- Restrict access to sensitive logs/data --- Experience in onboarding new data, Inputting new information, Creating new dashboards, Extra
