Volt is immediately hiring for an experienced Machinist for local Manufacturing company in Santa Maria!Are you looking for a role that allows you to express your craftsmanship & creativity? Then this may be an excellent fit for you!As a Machinist you will:

• Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area
• Operate various types of CNC machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and basic print reading
  • Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines
    • Will make more complex program or tooling adjustments to produce conforming parts
    • Operate a 2 axis lathe and hold .0005 tolerances
    • Operate a 4th axis mill
    • Perform First Part Inspections for all lathe and mill operations
      • Other duties as necessaryThis is a 1st Shift Position Monday-Thursday 5:30am- 4pm - Pay: is $27-35/hr The ideal candidate will have:
        • Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred.
        • Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.
        • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
          • Three years industry experience or demonstrated capabilities
