Our client is currently seeking a Department Head of Meat Production

This job will have the following responsibilities:
General Responsibilities: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring associate satisfaction and motivation. Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of processing associates. Promote safety and quality standards to ensure a secure and efficient work environment. Oversee all aspects of beef further processing operations, from receiving raw materials to final product packaging. Implement and optimize production processes to meet quality, quantity, and timeline goals, while respecting corporate culture and values. Monitor production metrics and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Oversight of beef raw material procurement and vendor relationships. Responsibility for ensuring that specifications are consistently reviewed and performance audited. Partner with internal resources to develop and manage the budget for the beef further processing operations in multiple locations. Control costs, reduce waste, and maximize operational efficiency. Continuously identify opportunities to increase product quality. Oversight in ensuring that the Maintenance operations team is functioning effectively within a high redundancy and uptime environment. Assist in implementing data driven preventative maintenance procedures to extend the life of machinery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Agri-Business or related field (Required)
10+ years of experience in large beef slaughter or further processing operations (Required)
5+ years of experience leading others, ideally large teams Excellent knowledge of meat industry and USDA regulations, and safety standards Proven leadership of team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite CA driver's license in good standing More...
