Adecco is looking for a Contract Build Engineer (Systems Engineer) for a large client located in Emeryville, CA. The position is expected to last approximately 9 months. See job description and requirements below:
Job Description
This is a junior level role w/min. 1 year experience.
The Build Engineer works closely with Development Architects/Engineers and Operations Release Engineers to Design, Develop, Implement and maintain a Continuous Integration Environment. Work with Development Teams in maintaining Debug and Release versions of the build scripts. Maintain a consistent overall build process between development and release engineers. Collaborate with Release Engineers in the building of Application Deployment Packages.
Manage the installation, implementation, and maintenance Build and Deployments tools to achieve a Continuous Delivery pipeline. Facilitate the communication between operations, network and development users in setup and configuration.
Provide documentation and guidance in proper use of Build and Deployment Tools.
Facilitate the user documentation of tools and solution implementation tasks such as install, configure and customization.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
? A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent
Desirable Skills
? Knowledge of software process models (e.g. CMMI)
? Experience with software change and configuration management (e.g. Mantis, Jira, Trac, Track+ and Telelogic)
? Experience with multiplatform operating systems, software and builds (e.g. Linux to Windows, 32 bit to 64 bit, Apache, Tomcat)
? Experience with continuous integration systems (e.g. Cruise Control, Team City, Bamboo and/or Team Foundation Server)
? Experience with agile software development (e.g. SCRUM, KANBAN)
? Experience with static and dynamic code analysis (e.g. NDepend, NCover, dotCover, and FxCop)
? Experience with virtual environments and virtual machines (e.g. VMware and Hyper-V)
? Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management tools and applications
Essential Skills
? Software implementation (i.e. Visual C# or Visual Basic)
? Software version control (i.e. Git, CVS, Subversion, or Visual SourceSafe)
? Scripting and automation (i.e. Powershell)
? Software testing using automated test frameworks (i.e. CppUnit, JUnit, NUnit or MbUnit)
? Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in a software company in a
technical capacity
? Minimum one (1) years of professional experience using Microsoft Enterprise .NET
technologies or Build and Release automation
