Looking for Veterinary technicians needed for a very busy hospital with 7-Day-A-Week animal care. Minimum of 5 years experience needed. RVT preferred but not written in stone. Here you will be treating animals all day, administering medicine, fluids, taking X-rays, performing dentals and assisting in surgery. Your entire shift is spent with animals in your hands, not dealing with clients! MUST HAVE VET TECH EXPERIENCE & HAVE ANIMAL HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE Job Duties: ---Monitors animal health and well-being. Evaluates animal health, reports abnormal conditions, monitors and provides treatments as directed by veterinarian, program management or designee --- Documents, organizes and maintains records --- Ongoing duties include conscious restraint. --- Administers special treatments and diets as directed by attending veterinarian. --- Performs diagnostic sample collection and tracks results. --- Assists in handling, healthcare, husbandry, sampling and surgical techniques. --- Ensures compliance with required regulations and consistently follows program and institutional procedures and policies. --- Must have ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and multiple Doctors. --- Weekend and holiday work required. --- Must function well independently and as a team-member.
