POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Security, the Lead Security Officer is charged with directing the subordinate personnel under his/her authority. The Lead Security Officer is responsible for providing a reasonable safe and secure environment for all who enter San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital properties and to assure the physical security of buildings and grounds. The Lead Security Officer will report and document all infractions of rules, regulations and policies including all federal, state and local laws and ordinances. The Lead Security Officer will provide direction to Security Officers while on shift and perform other duties of a more responsible and demanding level, as defined by San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's Security Department.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. It is expected that the associate filling this role will demonstrate behavior consistent with the San Gorgonio's Core Values and Code of Conduct. The Lead Security Officer shall support San Gorgonio Memorial Hospitals strategic plans and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification:

Current CA Guard Card; Valid CA Driver's License; BLS (Basic Life Support, AHA) proof of car insurance.

C urrent state issued Security Officer License, if applicable, showing no disciplinary actions.

Experience:

Four (4) or more years of experience working as a Security Lead, supervisor or manager in a Healthcare Setting involving extensive public contact. Prefer: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a Lead Security Officer in a healthcare setting.

TRAINING:

• Current IAHSS Supervisory Certificate.
• ICS 100, 200, 400, 700 FEMA courses.
• Current BLS Card though the American Heart Association. SKILLS:
  • Avade Workplace Violence Prevention certified.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
    PAY / BENEFITS
    Estimated pay: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
