The Supervisor maintains a safe and productive working environment while coaching and supervising their team members. The majority of the supervisors time will be spent on the production floor identifying improvement opportunities, monitoring safety, production, quality, maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices and corporate standards.Direct Reports: Production Lead, Production Utility Worker, Production Operator WorkersResponsibilities:Must be able to coach and influence employees under their supervision. Trains and motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.Directly manages all daily activities and long-term objectives of their department, in conjunction with managers across shifts or departments.Conducts thorough investigations to identify and eliminate the root cause of manufacturing problems.Work collaboratively with leaders on HR, Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.Ensure staff is following the work rules at all times. Ensure GMP compliance is adhered to at all times.Ability to learn how to trouble shoot malfunctioning equipment & processes to produce quality product.Deliver quality products and services through continuous improvement; Adhere to company standards and operating procedures.Ability to understand and learn the unique equipment in a bakery and its operation.Qualifications:1-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred or 1+ years of leadership with a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Food Science.Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is strongly preferred.High School diploma or GED is required.
