Job Title:Credit Portfolio Risk Analyst I - ETL and WarehouseLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:The Portfolio Credit Risk Management department is a high performing, dynamic team within Western Alliance Bank. The ETL and SQL Data Analyst - Portfolio Credit Risk will take an ownership role in populating the Bank's loan and deposit data warehouses with responsibilities including data sourcing, ingestion, integration, validation, and reconciliations to the general ledger. The ETL and SQL Data Analyst - Portfolio Credit Risk will have recurring production responsibilities as well as project or ad hoc duties; both requiring a high attention to detail. Critical to success in this position is an understanding of SQL, SSIS and database concepts, as well as the ability to document and follow procedures. Additionally, the position requires independent problem solving, adaptability to changing priorities, a sense of urgency, on-time delivery and the ability to support diverse projects. This position requires an understanding of banking concepts, and an aptitude for learning new technology. This position interacts with personnel in WAB's Information Technology, Accounting, Loan Servicing and other business groups.What we are looking for: Responsibilities: - Responsible for loading and certifying one or more of the Bank's loan and deposit data warehouses, including data validation, and reconciliations. Loads must be conducted in accordance with procedures and data quality artifacts produced.
- Creates and/or uses existing tables, views, stored procedures and SSIS packages in the execution of regular duties.
- Proposes improvements to processes, gains approval, documents and implements upgrades.
- Completes assigned projects, which may be individual or team projects and include acquiring new data sources (due to new products, new business acquisitions, new system implementations, etc.), defining/documenting transformations required to load, writing load scripts and testing.
- Effectively applies technical expertise and software knowledge to address complex projects. Proficient / expert in the Microsoft suite of technologies including Visual Studio and Management Studio.
- Manages a pipeline of data and process related projects, identifying and elevating road blocks and executing within designated time frames.
- Serves as the point of contact to internal customers for ad hoc extracts and support for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Uses excellent communication skills to keep manager, team and customers apprised of project statuses.Qualifications:
