Job Title:Sr. Credit Analyst -CRELocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:The position of Sr. Credit Analyst is responsible for completing various covenants tests for the bank's clients as they become due. They will complete/review financials spreads, needed to test covenants as detailed in the Business Loan Agreements (BLA) . Following the definitions of the various test in the BLA, they will prepare and provide a final report to the loan officers with supporting explanation of the logic used in his/her findings to the loan officer to for final approval of the tests. These covenant tests can be done monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually as agreed by the bank's client. The analyst will also review covenants tests completed by junior analysts and provide guidance and corrections as needed. Covenant tests include Debt Service Coverage Ratio, Out of debt period, Maximum Debt to Tangible Net worth, Minimum Liquidity, etc.What we are looking for: Responsibilities: - Performs financial statement analysis, typically involving complex relationships.
- Work closely with lending personnel as needed to insure accurate testing results using all required variables.
- When needed, use various bank systems to obtain information required for the various tests.
- Maintain completed covenant tests using Credit Lens software.
- Maintain covenant tracking reports detailing progress/completion of covenant tests.
- Ability to explain and defend logic used to complete the testing and obtain approval from the appropriate loan officer.
- Provide training and assistance to junior analysts when preparing covenant tests.
- Communicate declining trends in a proactive approach to surface potential issues with bank's clients to the loan officers.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four (4) year college or university, and minimum of two (2) years or more related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
