The principal function will be to oversee fleet maintenance functions and employees. This person will be responsible to the General Manager and the City of Phoenix for the proper maintenance and reliable provision of all services stipulated in this Work Scope. This person will supervise the daily activities of all mechanics, utility workers, fare collection technicians, and other related staff. The Director of Maintenance will work cooperatively with City of Phoenix and be accountable for all substantive matters pertaining to fleet and associated equipment maintenance as provided under this Contract Responsibilities Ensures the effective management of maintenance departments and personnelSelects, trains, motivates, and evaluates Maintenance ManagersProvides oversight for maintenance compliance with site-specific contractsEnsures that company and client property and equipment is maintained and operating efficientlyMonitors inventory and inventory controlsEnsures that each site follows appropriate and compliant safety policies and proceduresOversees the development and administration of the operational budget; creates strategies to ensure that locations are fiscally soundIdentifies opportunities for improving service delivery methodsOther duties as required.Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required Bachelor s degree in business or related field preferred Experience |
