At Raytheon, you will be part of a team whose responsibilities span the full lifecycle of the product- from initial conceptual design to modeling and analysis, from component to missile level RCS testing, and production support to maintainability.We are currently looking for Principal Stealth / Low Observable / Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Signature Management / Survivability Engineers to work on challenging, state of the art technical projects.This position is in Tucson, AZ (Onsite)Responsibilities to Anticipate: - The selected individual will document all activities pertaining to test preparation, data analysis, design trades, prediction results, and others.
- You will work within integrated product teams and support all aspects of that team's design efforts with some direction from Senior Low Observables Engineer
- Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers
- Mentor early career engineers
- Occasional travel for business, training, and conferencesBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline
- Ten (10) years' experience in calibrating, operating, and troubleshooting instrumentation radars for far field RCS measurements.
- Experience using RCS processing software for data analysis.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating and maintaining Resonant Sciences Radarman II instrumentation radar.
- Experience operating near field radar systems.
- Experience with range certification/registration process and management of the range handbook
