Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Manager of the IMCU you will be a highly qualified, expert clinician who possesses advanced care skills and has demonstrated strong critical thinking skills. You will assist the Nursing Unit Director in planning, implementing and assessing the day-to-day functions of the unit. You will provide supervisory and management oversight for staff members and departmental resources and processes. You will collaborate with physicians to expedite information and manage throughput on cases ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients. Our team works together and supports each and cares like family. We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing quality patient care and has the ability to lead, coach and mentor our skilled IMCU staff. In this Manager role: - You will have the ability to create and maintain an environment that results in above average satisfaction ratings from employees, patients and physicians.
- You will have the ability to delegate work responsibilities based on team member -strengths, developmental -needs, -and -workload.
- You will have the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of staff performance and implements -training -and -development -accordingly.
- You will work with the Director on department staffing; hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff.
- You will have the ability to retain and recruit sufficient and qualified staff for effective operations.
- You will manage compliance -with -budget -and -financial -metrics.
- You will support hospital-wide initiatives and work to foster positive relationships between the IMCU and all other departments.
