Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The population health analytics team within Humana is dedicated to transforming health outcomes of Medicaid members using Humana's technology and analytics. We are looking for a Business Intelligence Lead who will design and develop data models and turn data and insights into actionable plans. Being part of a talented team of Data Scientists with broad skills and applications, the Business Intelligence Lead will work cross-functionally and collaboratively with teams across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with healthcare data such as medical, behavioral, pharmacy claims data, financial, social and demographic data; demonstrated innovative and creative methods for identifying opportunities for improvement and successfully applying machine learning techniques to address business needs and create efficiencies in operation. The range of work includes solving problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial, developing data analytics strategies, leveraging technology platforms to collect, curate, integrate, analyze, data and create various data products. -
Collaborates and negotiates with cross functional business units and establishes effective data and business analytics infrastructure compatible for big data analysis and machine learning. -
Develops, monitors and maintains data models. -
Monitors and addresses data quality and supports data governance programs. -
Interprets and communicates analytic results to analytical and non-analytical business partners. -
Compiles and presents regular and ad-hoc project status reports. -
Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting. -
Researches and evaluates innovative analytical methodologies, approaches, and solutions. -
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues and works under minimal supervision and determine the best course of action. -
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. -
Follows established guidelines/procedures. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. -
5 or more years of technical and data analytics experience. -
3 or more years of project leadership experience. -
Demonstrable experience in health insurance domain, familiarity with products, providers and claims processing. -
Experience with Data Warehousing (Azure/SQL/Synapse), ETL (Azure Data Factory/SSIS), Microsoft Power Apps. -
Experience in data visualization, such as Power BI, Tableau. -
Hands on experience working with agile/scrum methodologies including user story grooming, sprint planning etc. to deliver high quality software solutions improving team velocity and speed to market. -
Experience and knowledge in Python/SPSS/ SAS. -
Experience with Machine Learning (ML) toolkits, such as SparkML and Notebooks. -
Experience with using AI to improve experience in creating efficiencies. -
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling. Preferred Qualifications -
Experience developing and validating machine learning and predictive models, including Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, cluster analysis, regression analysis, time series, and forecasting.--- -
Experience in deep learning and recommendation. -
Experience in cost of care and trend analysis. Additional Information: -
Workstyle: Home. Home workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs. -
Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST. Nationwide Remote - This is a remote nationwide position. WAH Internet Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: -
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. -
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership. -
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. -
