Software Developer- UAS JSIL Location: Huntsville, AL Description: Seeking a motivated and ambitiousUnmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Software Developertojoin our team to create quality solutions for complex problems. This candidate will perform software development activities for a variety of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Trainer projects at the Joint Technology Center's Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL). The Software Developer will write code encompassing all tiers of the software development process with primary focus on front end and user interface design and development. This position currently requires team members to work in an SAIC or government facility. Responsibilities and Requirements: - Work within an agile environment to design, write, and test Object Oriented software (SW) components/applications through the entire SW lifecycle
- Work with system integrators, network engineers, and project managers to create software applications
- Work within an agile scrum development model producing software applications and installation scripts on a biweekly basis
- Requirements analysis, design, software development, and testing
- Design, code, and test simulation software with other members of the development team.
- Participate in activities accordingly to ensure on time implementation deliverables are met including day-to-day planning and coordination with testers, other developers, project managers and business representatives. Required Skills:
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming language
- Knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design
- Knowledge of network protocols, concurrency, or asynchronous communication
- Experience with .NET Framework
- Unit testing and continuous integration best practices
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills:
- Current Active Secret Security Clearance Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following are a plus:
- Agile software methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
- .NET technologies such as WPF
- Git and Azure DevOps Server
- Reverse engineering and debugging
- Software integration in complex systems
- Unit testing and continuous integration best practices
- Design patterns
- Experience with commonly used distributed simulation and tactical interoperability protocols such as DIS, CIGI
- Automated testing frameworks such as Appium Education and Experience:
