Sisecam Wyoming is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work with our team of engineers, I & E professionals, maintenance personnel, and production personnel to provide required electrical expertise in support of soda ash production in safe, productive, and cost-effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underground mine electrical obsolescence identification and infrastructure planning.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and specifications for new electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to understand underground electrical requirements.
• Work in a partnership with the Mine and the Refinery.
• Arc flash protection implementation.
• Develop capital projects based on identified needs of the mine and lead them to the completion as the project manager.
• It is anticipated that up to 60-70% of this role may be in the underground mine environment working with and in support of the underground mine I & E department.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
  QUALIFICATIONS
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience providing electrical support in an underground mine and/or industrial processing facility.
  • Familiarity with applicable mine health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new technologies and manage increasing levels of complexity.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Demonstrated proactive commitment to safety.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Access.
  • Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results oriented and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
