Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our collaborative team in providing comprehensive healthcare services. In this key role, the Pharmacist will be responsible for managing medication therapy and improving patient outcomes. This position requires a commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient care, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage Assess the identity, strength and purity of medications Work with patients on general health management, including counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient's drug therapy and improve outcomes Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics or controlled drugs Plan, implement, or maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, or labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements Assist in the management of medication inventory and ordering of supplies Strong understanding of chemical compounds and pharmaceutical brands Excellent communication and counseling skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Proficient in pharmaceutical software and database management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty (BCPS) preferred More...
