Encompass Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our dedicated team in delivering high-quality healthcare and rehabilitation services. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate and enhance patient care by providing expert guidance on medication management after serious illness or injury. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a holistic approach to patient recovery and rehabilitation in a supportive and dynamic environment. Manage and dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients and to evaluate their suitability. Provide information and advice about drugs, their side effects, correct dosage, and proper storage. Keep records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics, or controlled drugs. Plan, implement, or maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal. Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications. Work collaboratively with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, or evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs or drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications or characteristics. Expert knowledge of pharmaceutical therapy and drug interaction Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in using pharmaceutical software and databases Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state Pharmacist license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Optional certification in specialized fields such as Geriatric Pharmacy, Oncology, or Pediatric Pharmacy is advantageous.
