Provide direct nursing care in various departments as needed, adapting to the dynamics of each unit. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor responses. Record patient histories and symptoms, updating information in patient records and on charts. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens. Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
