Clean Harbors in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Insite Chemist to join our safety conscious team. This person would be responsible for assisting in the collection, identification, and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at our client site in Milwaukee, WI. - This position is NOT a laboratory-based position
- Valid Driver's License required
- Monday through Friday schedule, start time 5:45 am to 1:45 pm
- Very physical, with walking the majority of the day, as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities - Pickup at hospitals, health centers and clinics across the metro area.
- Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications.
- Identify unknown laboratory chemicals when they are encountered.
- Perform inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
- Inspect storage area for leaks or spills.
- Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations.
- Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
- Utilize waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program.
- Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
- Maintain and manage waste profile data.
- Evaluate specialty waste materials such as Pharmaceuticals, and batteries determining disposal options.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Driver's License required;
- Science background is preferred;
- Lab Pack experience is preferred;
- 40 Hour OSHA, RCRA, and DOT preferred;
- Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to interface with customers.
