Department: 38410 Aurora Psychiatric Hospital - Pharmacy Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Evening hours with minimum two shifts per pay period. One weekend per month. Opportunities to pick up additional hours. Requirement to work 1 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day) and 1 of 3 Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas day, and New Year's day). Major Responsibilities: - All completed under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Prepares medications for dispensing
- Interviews patients to obtain medication histories
- Perform duties related to medication ordering, receipt, stocking, and inventory control
- Performs clerical duties in the pharmacy to ensure efficient operations
- Receives and interprets medication/prescription orders and enters them into the pharmacy computer system
- Performs medication and prescription billing activities
- Opportunity to hold site and/or system pharmacy intern leadership positions
- Participation in mock job/residency interviews with CV review
- Project opportunities to work with site and system leadership
- Intern Development series to learn about various topics pertinent to professional development. Certification available upon completion
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved program in Pharmacy. Experience Required:

- Enrolled in the first or second year of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program.
