team through our employee recognition programs Job Description:About the Role:The Sr Operations Manager will provide overall leadership for manufacturing departments in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. Coaching and mentoring the operations team to meet the strategic goals of the company while engaging employees in continuous improvement TMOS (Management Operating System) and fostering a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.Scope: Manages a staff of 6 Production Managers and indirectly manages multiple Production Supervisors. Overall responsibility for approximately 600 hourly manufacturing employees.Establishes clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provides performance feedback on a regular basis. Ongoing mentoring of the team through regular performance reviews and developmental activities to ensure movement toward a high performance / high engagement organization using metrics and scorecards.Collaborate with the team of SME's to best utilize resources to deliver against business and regulatory requirements in the areas of cost, financial controls, quality, safety, and business initiatives.Educate how to interpret and analyze available data (line speed target, set-up guidelines, and efficiency and process data) to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.Ensure clear and concise communication to all levels in the organization while being an advocate for your team.Perform other duties as assigned.Important Details: This is a full-time on-site role supporting plant human resources needs on 1st shift with schedule flexing between all shifts occasionally required.About You:You will fit right in if you have:Four-year degree preferred with 7-10 years of manufacturing experience required, with a minimum three years of experience as a senior manager.Previous experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean -TMOS (Management Operating System) environment along with an MBA strongly preferred.Ability to coach, mentor and develop others to create an understanding of managing the overall business required.Professional verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and delegation skills required.Minimal travel may be required.
